Niceville Campus eLetter
From our Creative Arts Director
G’day Church!
My name is Jeremy and have the privilege of being the Creative Arts Director at the Niceville campus. You may have already seen me on Sundays serving as part of the Production Team in the Sanctuary. I’ll also be assisting the Creative Team throughout the week in planning various video projects and in-service worship elements.
I know you’re thinking, “Not another Jeremy on staff, right?!” And yes, it has gotten a little confusing at times in our staff meetings… but I promise that you’ll be able to tell us apart when you hear our different accents!
Some of you may not be aware, but I’ve been a part of Crosspoint for nearly ten years now! I began working in a similar role with the Creative Team from 2013-2016 and almost six years serving as the Associate Minister at the North Crestview campus. My wife Shelley and our three kids (Zion – 9, Charis – 6, Ezra – 3) are excited to be back at the Niceville campus and dive into what God has in store for us here in the days ahead.
I look forward to meeting you all and would love to say hi if you see me on campus!
See you Sunday!
Jeremy Thiess, Creative Arts Director

APRIL PRESCHOOL FOCUS | SHINE
Have you ever been somewhere where it was so dark you couldn’t even see your hand in front of your face? No light shining under the door. No stars in the sky. No screen glaring back at you. Just darkness. So much darkness that you have to shuffle slowly, stumbling your way across the room with arms stretched out, hoping, searching . . . and then finally, with the flip of a switch, LIGHT! Light changes everything.
This month, we’re talking about light, but not just any light. We’re talking about Jesus—the light of the WORLD—and how when we do what Jesus says, we shine. We shine the light of Jesus! After this month, we hope every time you and your preschoolers see a lamp or a star-filled sky, you remember that people were made to shine, and we have Jesus—the light of the world—to show us how. So let’s not hide our light. Let’s SHINE and light up the dark so others can see their way to Jesus.
APRIL ELEMENTARY FOCUS | COOKOUT - IT'S WORTH THE WAIT
Waiting is a part of life. Thankfully, we don’t have to wait on our own. Through the Holy Spirit, God can help us experience the patience we need to wait well. After all, God is patient with us. God is in control and knows what’s best for us. Even though God’s people had been waiting for years for the promised Savior, at just the right time, God sent Jesus. Because we’re created in God’s image, we can reflect God’s patience in our lives. We can be patient when we remember what God has done. We can lean on God’s Holy Spirit to give us the strength we need to trust God and show patience with the difficult circumstances in our lives.
