Crosspoint Vacation Bible School

Our 2019 VBS is going to be the mane event!

Our epic African adventure will engage the whole herd. At Roar, kids will explore God’s goodness and celebrate a ferocious faith that powers them through this wild life. Each day at Roar VBS, kids will travel through field-tested rotations that reinforce relevant Bible Points and immerse kids in new adventures.

Join us in June of 2019 for our next VBS adventure!

When Is Vacation Bible School this year?
On our Niceville campus, ROAR VBS 2019 will be from 9:00 a.m. – 12:15 p.m., Monday – Friday, June 10-14, 2019.

When will registration open?
Registration will open Saturday, April 13, 2019.
During pre-registration (Saturday, April 13, 2018– Wednesday, May 15, 2019) you can take advantage of early bird pricing, pre-ordering a t-shirt and the ability to request a friend.

Registration will be closed from 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5 and reopen on Monday, June 10 at 8:00 a.m. to allow time to prepare for VBS. During this time, we will have a waiting list and will allow registrations on Sunday evening to those on the waiting list as space is available. During the week of VBS, registration will be open from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., Monday – Thursday, as space is available. Registration ends on Thursday, June 13, 2019.

My child would like to be placed with their friend. How do I request this?
One friend requests of the same age/grade can be indicated on the registration form during the pre-registration period. Please note that friend requests are only available during the pre-registration period only and both children must be registered during the pre-registration period and request each other. The closer it gets to VBS, the more difficult it becomes for us to honor requests of this nature, therefore, after Wednesday, May 14, friend requests will not be taken. We will make every effort to place your child with one of the friend requests submitted.

What measures are taken to ensure the safety of our children?
To ensure the safety of each and every child, you will need to present a photo ID to the child’s teacher who will check the name against the list of people you have designated on your registration form to pick up your child.

How will I know which class my child has been assigned to?
On Saturday, June 8, you will receive an email (to the email address you indicated when you registered your child for VBS) with your child’s class assignment listed.

Please be sure to check your email prior to the opening day of VBS. Additionally, our greeters will have class assignment lists available to check your class assignment when you arrive for VBS.

Where do I drop off my child in the mornings?
Rising Kindergarten classes meet in the Kids Building

Rising 1st – 4th grade classes meet in the Sanctuary for opening each day.

Please note that classes are based on the grade that your child will be attending during the fall of 2018.

What if I have problems with my computer and cannot register before it closes?
We will have computers set up in the welcome area of the Kids Building that you can use to register at any time that registration is open. During the week of VBS, there will be computers in the hub area just outside the Kids Building where you can register.

What age can children attend VBS?
ROAR VBS 2019 is open to children who will be entering kindergarten in the fall of 2019, through rising 4th graders. Rising 5th grade students will be participating in Student Ministry activities at a different time. For more information or to register for rising 5th graders please visit our Student Ministry web page. Nursery care during the days of VBS is available ONLY to children of VBS volunteers who are younger than rising kindergarten.

Can my teenager volunteer for VBS?
Yes!! We depend on our student helpers to make VBS run smoothly each year. Students currently finishing 6th-12th grades can serve as youth volunteers. However, completed 6th grade students must volunteer with their parent or a willing adult sponsor. In fact, VBS needs the help of your teens! All student helpers must attend training prior to VBS.

How can adults volunteer to help the week of VBS?
There are many ways adults can help the week of VBS! The main way is by being a group leader for rising kindergarten – 4th grade children. In this role, you’ll experience everything VBS has to offer. There are other opportunities as well. Please check out our volunteer page for a list of opportunities to help with VBS.

I can’t volunteer during the week of VBS, but how can I help?
There are several opportunities to help for those who cannot be here the week of VBS. You can adopt one or more décor projects to complete before VBS begins. If you like counting, sorting and organizing materials, we could use your help before VBS begins. Please check out our Volunteer Opportunities accordion for a list of opportunities to help with VBS this year.

Is there a place to volunteer where I’m not with children?
We have several places to serve that don’t require that you are  with kids all morning. Greeters, parking and shuttle volunteers and snacks are all places to enjoy the thrill of VBS.

How much does VBS cost?
During the pre-registration period (Saturday, April 13 – Wednesday, May 15), the cost per child is $15.
After May 15, the cost per child is $20.
Scholarships are available upon request.

Will there be T shirts for sale?
If you register during the pre-registration period (Saturday, April 14 – Monday, May 14), you can order a t-shirt through your registration. After May 15, a limited supply of t-shirts may be purchased during the week of VBS at the t-shirt table.

What if I have other questions?
If you have additional questions, please email us at and we will do our best to answer any questions that you have.
