Crosspoint offers a very wide variety of sports programs, classes and groups to meet our community’s needs for recreation. From soccer, basketball and volleyball to dance, music and fitness classes, we have something you will enjoy.

While the programs are based in and out of the Community Life Center at the church, the programs are designed to welcome and encourage individuals of all faiths, all skill levels and all walks of life to come play!

ADULT AND TEEN VOLLEYBALL

Teams can be Co-Ed, ages 16 years old and up.    You can register as a team or as an individual and be placed on a team. Games will be played on Tuesday nights starting March 6 and ending April 24. Registration starts January 8. Register Online

Happy Healthy New Year!

Many people welcome 2018 with a healthy start by making New Year Resolutions that include weight loss, diet and exercise. We start off with a bang and by February we fizzle out. Let’s talk about a way to keep healthy and strong this year.

As we age we experience a natural occurrence  of muscle mass loss. You have heard the old adage “Use it or lose it!” We need to use it to keep our muscle mass in top form and it only takes consistency and focus.

Losing muscle mass as we age contributes to frailty and disability in old age.  A new study involving aging and weight loss found that those who combine resistance (strength) training with a Mediterranean diet resulted in the most weight loss while maintaining muscle mass. If you do not feel comfortable incorporating weight training in your daily routine, there are trainers in every gym in our area who would love to help you.

So, contact a trainer, add some weights to your routine and start improving you muscle mass today! Obesity, November, 2017

POLICIES

Before you can use the gym, fitness room or take classes in our facility, you must complete a current Liability Release Form. There is a $30 fee for the year, prorated according to when you register. Hours vary. Pick up a schedule at our Welcome Desk.

Once you have registered, you are also asked to “check in” via the touch screen monitor at the Welcome Desk each time you use the facility. Children 12 and under are not allowed to use the facilities unless they are accompanied by a parent, therefore a release form is not required.

In order to use the Fitness Room, you must be 16 or older.

Please understand these policies exist so that all can enjoy keeping “fit” in a safe environment.

ADULT FITNESS

Fitness Center | Work out in our full fitness room with top of the line Cybex™ cardio machines, Atlantis™ weight machines, and a cardio theater. REFIT® is a cardio dance program that engages the whole person: Body, Mind, Soul. Offered: Monday and Thursday Nights 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Class cost is $20.00 a month. Instructor Christina Black

Faithfully Fit | Monday and Thursday mornings at 9:00 a.m. | Instructor Elaine Hall

Fit Today | Meets M-W-F7:00 a.m. class is taught by Pat Jernigan and Sue Riedel| Most exercises will be strength and balance while sitting in a chair | Cost is $25 for an 8-week session.

Fit Yoga | Monday and Wednesday mornings at 9:00 a.m. | Instructor Alex Brown| Increased flexibility, improves muscle strength and tone helps protect from injury| $5 a class or $50 for 6 weeks.
